Colors

Custom painting requires a minimum order of three pair. We can match a color sample that you provide, or use a paint manufacturer’s color name and number. A primer coat and two finish coats give your shutters the color and durability you desire. Three coats plus drying time will add seven business days to our production time.

How do Premier One-Piece Shutters compare to Custom-Order Shutters?

For a consistent look across the entire house, it is best to order all shutters of the same type and design. However, it is possible to combine our Premier One-Piece Shutters and our Custom-Design Shutters to save money on standard-sized windows. Before ordering, consider the following similarities and differences.

• The colors in which our Premier One-Piece Shutters are available are an exact match to the colors of the same name that are offered in our Custom-Design program.
  Both are molded using the same solid color-through material.
• The width of the one-piece shutters is exactly 15″, the closest width available in the custom design program is 14½”. The half-inch difference would not be enough to notice in most cases, but may be more obvious if shutters will be in very close proximity to each other on the house (for example, windows are one directly on top of another).
• The Premier open-louvered shutter is an exact match to the standard style version (LC-02) of the custom-order louvered shutter (cathedral top rail, centered cross rail position, as well as cross rail, louver, and stile dimensions and details).
• Due to the manufacturing process of the Custom-Order Raised Panel shutter, there are aesthetic differences between the Premier One-Piece Raised Panel shutter and the Custom-Order Raised Panel shutter. Most notably, the upper and lower coves of each panel on the one-piece design will lack the slight “seam” that is necessary in the construction of the custom-order raised panel shutter.
• Since Premier Shutters are one-piece molded shutters, they will feel more “rugged” in your hands than the modular-constructed custom shutters.
  Both Premier and Custom shutters will be equally durable once installed properly.
